Fire at factory in ChinarPark residential building poses questions to authorities
Bidhannagar cyber crime police have apprehended three individuals involved in a job fraud scheme that duped victims of lakhs of rupees through social media. The arrest follows a complaint lodged by Rajiv Goswami of Rajarhat, who reported receiving a job SMS on social media and subsequently being added to a group promising lucrative employment opportunities. Victims were instructed to complete various prepaid tasks with the promise of earnings, leading Goswami to pay Rs 16 lakh. However, when he requested payment, communication with the fraudsters ceased.
Upon initiating an investigation, authorities discovered that funds from Goswami's account had been distributed to multiple individuals. Subsequently, raids were conducted in Noapara and Jagaddal, resulting in the arrest of Kaushik Bose, Santosh Kumar Saav, and Chandan Kumar Saav.
The accused were presented before the Bidhannagar court and taken into police custody, while the Cyber Crime Police continue to search for the main perpetrator involved in the fraudulent scheme.
